This King’s Birthday we’re slowing things down with a Euro-style wine weekend - good bottles, delicious food, music on, long conversations... For one weekend only we’re collaborating with Honey’s on Skene Street for Bistro Ephemere; a listening and drinking weekend built around great wine and bistro dining. Think bowls of gnocchi, pâté, anchovies on toast, with 12 wines by the glass alongside a focused bottle list. Get ready to settle in and stay a while!

The wine list will lean heavily European with a few wildcards thrown in. We’re choosing bottles less for prestige and more for mood, texture and drinkability. Expect fresh whites, savoury reds, a few cellar gems and bottles that simply belong around a table with food and friends.

No formalities, no big agenda, just a weekend to drink well, eat heartily and enjoy the slower side of wine culture.

To book, hit either Honey’s or Winepress via DM on Instagram.

We’re here for selecting the perfect gift or bottle to share. xx

Celebrating Women in Wine

On International Women’s Day, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate some of the incredible women helping shape the wine world today. From vineyard to cellar and across the broader wine community, women continue to influence the direction, quality and culture of wine in exciting ways.

Closer to home, it’s fantastic to see the next generation stepping forward. Indra at is now part of the second generation at Lethbridge Wines, bringing fresh energy while continuing the legacy the family has built.

In the Yarra Valley, Sarah Crowe at remains one of Australia’s most respected winemakers, crafting wines of incredible precision and elegance year after year.

We’re also lucky to have inspiring people in our own extended wine community. Our friend Steffi from continues to champion chenin blanc and brings a unique perspective to the Australian wine scene post vintages in the Loire and California.

Cheers to the women across the industry, in vineyards, cellars, restaurants and stores, who continue to inspire and shape the future of wine.

On Sunday 29th March, we’re teaming up with Hot Chicken Project for a masterclass that’s all about pairing fried chicken with sparkling and orange wines.

Yes, really.

Crispy, spicy, salty chicken alongside lively bubbles and textural skin-contact wines, it’s one of those combinations that just works. We’ll talk through why the pairings sing, explore a range of styles, and most importantly, eat very well.

Spots are limited and this one will fill quickly

Eastern Peake Coghills Creek Pinot Noir 2023.
Grown on the exposed, volcanic slopes of Coghills Creek, this is Pinot Noir defined by clarity, energy and restraint. Aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and subtle spice lead into a finely structured palate, where bright fruit meets gentle earth and a mineral edge that reflects the rugged landscape it comes from.
There’s a quiet confidence to Eastern Peake - wines that never shout, but always deliver. Beautiful drinking now, with the structure to evolve gracefully over the coming years.
Owen Latta (winemaker) calls this his new ‘introductory wine’. ‘This is a section of barrels from the 4 different blocks of pinot noir (Eastern Peake, Walsh Block, Two Mile Hill & Griffins Road). These vineyards are all walking distance from each other all connected via the Coghills Creek catchment & in view of the Eastern Peake of Mount Bolton.’

Enjoy with Sunday lunch.
