The weather was turning it on today, just in time for Tastes of the Mid West hit the road. Tegan ventured out to the 76th Chapman Valley Show to drop in on our local food and beverage producers. Whether it be agriculture, aquaculture,livestock,fruits vegies, rum, gin, preserves, chutneys,oils,honey and delicious food, I made sure to touch base with anyone I could.
This is just a small snippet of the day. Part of our role is to help promote our local producers and match them with local foodies. Let's get the word out that we have a scrumptious range of food in the Mid West.

What local produce did you take home today?

I know what I had 🤭
Burnt Barrel Brisket burger(without the bun, yum!)
Strawberry cup with pistachio and chocolate from Sweet Olive
Some sweets for the kids from The Hidden Pantry, some Mellow Gin chocolate from 30Knots, some coldpressed Canola oil from Block 275, and a couple nights dinner from Strawberry Road Lamb. 😆

Another huge thanks to Chapman Valley Show and all its volunteers and committee for another massive event.

Great job to Chef Kiri Bolton with her 'judges' hat on. Many a future Tastes of the Mid West star product, started out at a local show like the Chapman Valley Show! Great job Kiri in supporting all things local and Tastes of the Mid West - did you discover the next 'big product'? :)

Volunteer duties done ✅

Mum and I have been out to judge the preserves again this year. The winner of the ribbon will surprise and delight.
