Looking back on backroadsgravel on the wettest year to date.

We love to be able to serve our community when it’s cold and rainy. It’s probably even more important we are there to bring up the moral.

I know it was easy to just pack up and go home to a warm shower but thank you to those who stuck out the day 🤣🤣

As we head into Harvest Season in October (I know, I know, so far away and yet so close), we are head down arse up making meals to keep the wheels turning.

So far we have an almost full book- 110 meals a week (one farm) plus a couple of one off's of 200 & 100 meals. If you would like to be on the books NOW is definitely the time for a chat, and to lock in some dates and numbers.

Along with everyone else, our prices have risen, $1/meal, which I think is very reasonable. We take pride is using cost effective menu items, but experience goes a long way to make the best meal.

We often get asked if we have a menu- which at the end of the season we do- it's everything that has been made in the last 3 months. BUT at the start of the season we simply see what is in season, look for specials, and most importantly.... Cook with our hearts!

If someone could make you one meal (that works well being re-heated) what would it be? We love to make a couple of "naughty" dishes a season too- like sweet and sour pork, and butter chicken! YUMYUM

Polocrosse peeps 🐥

If you have a teenager who will be with you at the weekend in Irwin/Mingenew and they would like some work, we would love to hear from you!

We have a couple of shifts now available for Saturday 9-4/5pm and Sunday 9-4/5pm.

We would love to support someone who is close and may not normally have the opportunity to earn some $$$ ❤️

The main part of the job for them is to take orders and payment (cash and card), so being able to count helps! Plus supporting the kitchen staff (me, literally standing next to you cooking and serving).

This job is made easier if you are part of Polocrosse and know people’s names 🤣🤣

Happy for parents to send us a PM if you think your teenager is up for it.

Our first event back on the road is Irwin Polocrosse Club event over the 31st July -2nd August weekend.

We’ve added a few extra things for more options as we are the only food van available for the weekend during the day 🥰 this will mean we ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE for the weekend, as we are cooking crumbed items in our fryer.

We will be bumping in Friday arvo, and open on Friday night if you need dinner after you have set up camp. ⛺️
