This beautiful family is part of our church community, and right now they are facing something no family should ever have to face.

Five-year-old Mikey has recently been diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a childhood brain cancer. He has already undergone two major brain surgeries and now has a long road of treatment ahead of him.

And amongst all of this, Mikeyโ€™s mum and dad are also caring for their brand-new newborn baby, as well as their other children. I honestly canโ€™t imagine the emotional, physical and financial load they are carrying right now.

As a community, this is one of those times when we can come together and help carry a little of that load.

If you are in a position to donate, even a small amount will help with the enormous costs that come with Mikeyโ€™s treatment, travel and keeping their family going through the months ahead.

Iโ€™m already dreaming of warmer days. โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒธ

The kind where the garden is overflowing, flowers are everywhere, the days feel long and thereโ€™s always something new blooming, ripening or ready to harvest.

Winter has its placeโ€ฆ but Iโ€™m definitely ready to see some colour creeping back into the garden.

What are you most looking forward to when the warmer weather returns?
๐ŸŒธ Flowers everywhere?
๐Ÿ… Fresh tomatoes?
โ˜€๏ธ Longer days?
๐ŸŒฑ Getting back into the garden?

Weโ€™re always talking about making small changes that have a positive impact.

Sometimes itโ€™s planting another tree.
Sometimes itโ€™s growing your own food.
Sometimes itโ€™s simply choosing products from companies that are trying to do things a little differently.

This tiny Australian native fruit might be small, but itโ€™s packed with flavour! It has a refreshing citrus zing with a hint of sweetness, making it perfect for snacking, desserts, drinks, or adding a burst of flavour to your favourite dishes.

Weโ€™re always amazed by the incredible variety of edible plants that can be grown here on the farm. Native foods like this deserve a place in every food forest.

The produce stand at Crafty Friends has had a fresh restock!

This week youโ€™ll find:

โ€ข Fresh herbs

โ€ข Freshly dug turmeric

Weโ€™ve also started bringing in plants! At the moment youโ€™ll find:

โ€ข Ice Cream Bean Trees
โ€ข Lilly Pilly
โ€ข Lemon Balm
โ€ข Strawberry plants

This is just the beginning. Weโ€™ll be adding more plants, trees, seedlings and seasonal produce as theyโ€™re ready, so keep an eye on the stand each week to see whatโ€™s new.
