🤠 WELL HOWDY FOLKS!! 🤠

We are still recovering from the weekend... and what a BIG weekend it was!

Friday night at our usual spot was fantastic, then Saturday at BAM in Tannum Sands was next level.

Business was brisk, frantic, wonderful, chaotic and downright awesome. To be honest, I don't really have the words, so let's just go with that!!

Throughout the weekend, my mantra was:

"Be nice to him, be nice to him, be nice to him."

Des's mantra was apparently:

"She is so sexy and hot."

I'm pretty sure I heard him say that over and over again... or maybe that's just how I remember it. 😂

As for the marriage status, I think we're still married. I'll have to confirm that with Des when I see him next.

He had an important meeting to attend after BAM on Saturday night. Strange timing really, considering it started at 10pm. He must have misplaced his phone too, because communication has been a little scarce ever since. 🤔😂

🤠 HOWDY FOLKS!! 🤠

I've gotta tell ya, my man Des has got that fryer absolutely humming.

Last Friday he was cooking food quicker than I could take the orders. He had meals ready and waiting for me to wrap before I'd even finished talking to the next customer.

In a bold display of confidence, Des even decided to wrap an order himself because apparently I was "taking too long."

Let's just say cooking is definitely his talent... wrapping is still very much a work in progress. 😂

The marriage survived the ordeal and is still mostly intact.

🌸🌸 HOWDY FOLKS 🌸🌸

Well what a day last Friday was at the soccer fields!!
There was a hint of love in the air!!

This SMOKIN HOT fella approached Al with a bunch of flowers!!! She swooned instantly.
Meanwhile Des stood there with eyes downcast, shoulders slumped, full of regret, thinking he’d lost his beloved missus to a better-looking bloke with fresh flowers and confidence.

Sadly for Al, the love bubble burst pretty quickly when she noticed SMOKIN HOT old mate was handing flowers out to everyone… men, women, probably a stray dog if one wandered past.

Then came the final heartbreak… watching him hug a SMOKIN HOT lady holding a cute little kid on her hip.
Turns out this lovely couple were just trying to get rid of flowers that hadn’t sold so they could pack up and head home to live their perfect little life while Des stood nearby smelling faintly of fish and disappointment.

ANYWAY…

🚨 MARRIAGE UPDATE 🚨
Still spending all my spare time learning how to be the perfect wife to my beloved.
It’s a tough gig… apparently eye rolling is “not supportive” and answering “whatever” is an attitude.” 🤷‍♀️🤣
Anyway, while I continue my training in being an absolute dream wife, we will be serving up the good stuff at:

Howdy all!!
We are back from our second honeymoon at Capella!! 💍🤣

Turns out Red Claw, country music and being trapped together in the car for hours is either very good for a marriage… or very dangerous 😅

Good news though — we survived, and old mate Des is back cooking up the goods while Al pretends to be patient and understanding.

🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

(No need to panic… but also… maybe panic a little)

Salty Fins will NOT be trading this Friday 😭

The main man and his smokin’ hot better half have legged it out west… chasing Red Claw at Mt Morgan 🦞 and then heading off to the Capella Country Music Festival 🎶

Rumour has it Des thinks he’s the headline act… jury’s still out on that one. If there is a storytelling comp, he will win for sure 🤣🤣

So unfortunately… no fish, no chips, no vinegar-induced happiness this Friday 💔

BUT don’t spiral too hard — we’ll be back NEXT Friday the 15th.

Until then… behave yourselves (or don’t, we’re not your parents)

Still married… just. 🤣

A massive THANK YOU to all our legends — new faces and our loyal regulars. Without you lot, Des wouldn’t have an audience to show off his “world-famous” cooking skills (his words, not mine… mostly).

And can we talk about that wind and dust on Saturday?!
Fair dinkum… I looked like I’d been on a three-day bender — red eyes, hair going feral, the full experience. 💨😳

But we’re back for more!!

Pack-up time is where the real sparks fly — and not the romantic kind 🤣

Anyway, we’re back slinging fish and testing the marriage again this week at Clinton Sports Grounds (opposite Bunnings)!

🚨 MENU SHAKE-UP ALERT 🚨

We’ve tweaked the menu a little bit!

🐟 Fish has gone up a smidge — turns out they’ve been talking to each other and demanding better pay.

🍟 BUT… some of the other goodies have dropped down — because we’re nice like that.

😴 Fish Bites are currently on “rest mode.”Main reason? They’re pesky little buggers and take longer than Des explaining a fishing story.
