From the Paddock We are a cafe on a regenerative farm located in the heart of our scenic Capertee Valley. Walk-ins welcome, please call for any large booking enquiries.

From the Paddock cafe is set on a family-owned regenerative grazing property, called Umbiella Farm, in the heart of the picturesque Capertee Valley. Umbiella farms mission is to enhance soil biology to produce clean nutrient dense food using regenerative farming practices whilst at the same time sequestering carbon. Over time From the Paddock has become a community hub supplying locals and visitor

🎉 🥂 A VERY special friend is celebrating her 60th birthday with us tomorrow. This calls for a very special menu.
Here is a sneak peek of just a few dishes we are preparing for her.

Basbousa bi gos el hind- which I have been making for many years after finding this recipe whilst waiting at the dentist.

Labneh - marinated in locally produced herbs and olive oil

Falafel - packed with fresh herbs and the secret ingredient being fava beans, which adds a yummy nuttiness.

Also paying homage to a few beautiful overlooked and taken for granted tools of the trade❤️

George Eliot's most ambitious novel is a masterly evocation of diverse lives and changing fortunes in a provincial community.

George Eliot creates a richly nuanced and moving drama, hailed by Virginia Woolf as 'one of the few English novels written for adult people'.

We will meet tomorrow at FTP, Saturday the 23rd of May at 10am!

Cake = comfort, a warm hug 🤗…
I think carrot cake has to be up there with everyone’s favourite cake. Our recipe has been handed down through generations. We have tweaked the recipe by adding a few extra home made treats! 🌷 🍏 🌰.
Not that it needs these tweaks as it stands up on its own without the extras ❤️. Having said that we have NEVER had a plate returned with the extras left aside!

Our hours are 9-3 but we are never out of here until at least 4, often later!
So if you need a quick sweet treat fix, pop in to From the Paddock for a triple choc chip cookie and a Mayfields soft drink, add a dollop of ice cream and ‘viola’ your Mayfields softy becomes a spider !🥤 🍪

I mean it doesn’t have to be a 3 o’clock fix, it is just the time my sweet tooth is activated .

🥤 About soft drinks:
A family owned and operated business, Mayfields was originally established in Orange N.S.W in 1948. A local favourite. Mayfields continued to supply the Central West for over 30 years.
Still in the same family, they have returned with healthier versions of the original recipes.
