Today was the day!
This little bubba arrived without any fuss at all. And a perfect start to a beautiful day for all of us here!

I have been deleting 100's of unwanted posts that have got on this page from all over the world in just a few days. The oldest was 6 days!!!. I can't find my own posts and I am overwhelmed by all this other unwanted content. I am over it! Is this the future of our life that is related to our phone usage? All I want to do is let those interested in our journey with our delightful Dexter Cattle know some of what is happening for us! Ugggh!!!

Nothing has happened yet, with our own cows, Sunshine and Queenie, who are due any tick of the clock. They were with Hobbit Hill Drogo, at the same time, as Topsy and Bluey, Allan's delightful cows, were with Ulysses.

This is the heifer born this morning. We are so delighted to see the end result of the girls visiting our farm over the summer months!

I got a message from Allan this morning today saying their second cow had given birth. The first cow had a bull calf, nearly a week ago. The second one is a heifer. The sire is our bull, Ulysses. So pleased to see such lovely calves at foot!

I have signed this petition, started by my daughter, Nikki, who is a passionate Environmental Scientist!! We have slowly removed a heap of Lantana on a property at Greta, just using our Dingo, and hand tools. I am grateful that we managed to do this successfully, as there are animals there that could be vulnerable to Glysophate! It is a shame that Australia is not more concerned!

I have just posted that we have 3 young heifers for sale in Dexters for Sale or Lease Australia site. They are easy going black polled Dexters, sired by Hobbit Hill Drogo, who is a real old gentleman of a bull. I must admit I would love them to stay together, as they are all such great mates, especially since they were weaned, a few months ago. They will be 12 months of age in August. I am asking $500 each for them. We are situated in the Hunter Valley. I can be contacted on 0439516196 for further details.

The boys, Ulysses and Victor enjoying the quiet life since coming home!

We have come home on Sunday evening, after attending Tocal Field Days with our bull, Ulysses, and steer, Victor. A very busy time for all our crew, setting up the camp and the pens on Thursday evening, and packing up Sunday evening. The boys were happy and cooperative the whole time, but Victor, was exhausted by all the attention he got, and could hardly keep his eyes open!! We had a delightful time talking to so many enthusiastic folk, some of whom are looking for a small breed to do their mowing for them, so we are hoping to find a home in the near future for one or two members of our herd. We have cows n calves, and pregnant cows for sale. Plus Ulysses, our 4 year old bull, who is a proven sire, is looking for greener pastures. I am reluctant to sell our steer, Victor, who is one of the easiest going animals, we have ever had, but I would consider it for the right person, and set up.
First time we have had perfect weather at Tocal Field Days in years. And we got some bonus rain here at Glendon Brook, yesterday. So win/ win for us!
