When she’s not in the kitchen, or having a delicious chat at a weekly market, you’ll find Penny behind the scenes. For the past 25 years she has volunteered her time across various roles within the LGBTQIASB+ communities, government policy development, cultural organisations, events and charities.
Saturday night at the Annual Pride Adelaide GALA, Penny received the Award for South Australian Volunteer of the year.
We couldn’t be prouder.
And we know Penny couldn’t be more touched by this recognition.

Here’s Cheers to you Autumn 🍁
Our Lemon Dust Bourbon Sidecar is oaky, warm and deliciously balanced with the flavours of orange and lemon 🍊🍋
How?
First thing to do is make your own lemon dust infused simple syrup.
This will need resting for 2hrs or overnight for maximum flavour release
How?
In a small saucepan on low heat add
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup castor sugar
Whisk till dissolved then add
2 tsp lemon dust
Whisk together, place on a lid, remove from the heat and leave to cool
Storage up to 2 weeks in a sterile glass lidded jar refrigerated.
Then
In your shaker add a handful of ice
60ml Bourbon
30ml Cointreau
15ml lemon dust infused simple syrup
Shake well to combine
Double strain into your glass
Garnish with our lemon wheel
Enjoy
Serves One
This is 3 standard drinks, it’s a slow sip as the sun goes down and the fireplace lights up.
