Glenelg, we need to talk 😕
Since opening up our Colonnades kiosk, it’s clear that our Glenelg location wasn’t right.
I put my heart into our Nile Street location, late nights (in fact - all nighters) to make sure we had a great place to have top quality desserts along with great coffee.
But, the crowds never came… we have had the odd busy night now and again, but, Glenelg isn’t the premium business location we were sold.
I’m an open book so I’ll let you in on a disappointing statistic- in 6 days of trade, our Colonnades kiosk has pulled more than we’ve done in 6 months at Glenelg 😖
As a business, we need to position ourselves to grow.
We again reached out to open afternoons from 2-5pm and got loads of supportive comments- and in the 3 hours, we had 2 customers. We hardly ever see locals come through our door and although there’s plenty of foot traffic on a nice sunny day, the second it rains or the football is on, people disappear. If you’re not from the area- when’s the last time you went to Glenelg??
It breaks me every time I think about it tbh.
We open again this Saturday night 7-10pm
Let’s hope I’m not wasting the little time I have left.
