They’re Starting to Learn Their Job 🐾 | Week 35 at Wildhorse Homestead

This week at Wildhorse Homestead was a big one for our Maremma puppies.

They’re growing quickly, and we’ve now started slowly introducing them to some of the animals they’ll eventually be working alongside — our chickens and alpacas.

These calm, supervised introductions are part of helping them become confident working guardian dogs.

They also had their vet checks and microchips, which brought us another step closer to them heading to their forever homes.

And because they’re growing up far too quickly, I’ve started making something special for them — handwoven paracord collars with their individual names.

These beautiful handmade collars will soon become part of our new designer, made-to-order range, available through Wildhorse Homestead and madeit.com.au

We also packed a Father’s Day Kitchen Box heading to Goondiwindi, watched a beautiful kookaburra visit the homestead, and I cooked a traditional-style Cape Malay Biryani for De Wet using spices from the South African store.

Another week of animals, handmade projects, food, farming and the little moments that make life here special.
