Update on Last Night Dinner at the Glenwood School🍽️👌

The Kitchen event at the school last night was a great success. We ran out of butter chicken after 85 meals were served and we served 100 desserts.
A big thankyou to the School for acting so decisively and quickly to make it all happen. Thanks to the volunteers who worked so hard, Elsie’s Flowers for the posies that adorned each table and went home with grateful patrons. Thank you Ricci who picked up and transported all our gear at the beginning and end of the day and Maree Buttery who made the beautiful desserts.
It was so good to see many of the usuals back enjoying a meal with us.
We will be back again on the first Tuesday in October 6/10/26 doing Ham Burgers, Hot Chips and Desert.
Meanwhile in the background our wonderful exec committee will continue working on getting the the GCK back in the hall.
Thank you to all those old and new faces who continue to support this vital community service, big love Kaz and Krew from the Glenwood Community Kitchen 🙏

Another Successful Community Gathering🫶

Using the BBQ area was so much better this time around and is definitely the place we will continue to use.👌

We set up 40 chairs and every chair was used as were the picnic rugs. People also chose not to stay and took home takeaways. No food wasted, and over $300 in donations raised thank you. We would say this was a wonderful success thank you 🙏

We could not have done this with out help!!!
Special thanks to Glenwood Cottages for the chairs and to Jenni volunteering all night and delivering meals to a few who really needed.
Cheers to the Lady's Shed for stepping up again with the tables and Volunteering.
A massive thank you to Maree Buttery for the 40 iced finger buns and help with cooking your a legend. Thank you so very much Shirley for being our BBQ queen, your the best sausage cooker ever😂 and the hugest thank you to Elsie’s Flowers for the incredible 8 posies of flowers to decorate the tables with which were gifted to some happy souls at the end of the evening.
Thank you Patrick, Huby and Kaz who pulled this all together, you worked hard 😘
And last but not least thank you to everyone who came and who also bought a plate to share, you made it such a beautiful afternoon on the grass watching the sun set. It was so nice to see the regulars but also to see and meet some fresh new faces, Sandy from Bauple you are a blast please come again and bring more friends 😂.
