Rosemont Stud

Rosemont Stud is a picturesque thoroughbred stud farm, situated along side the Barwon River just west of Geelong, Victoria.

Rosemont was founded only 20 years ago and since then has gone from strength to strength. With a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck the business has boomed. In 2012, Rosemont more than doubled it's acreage with the acquisition of Makybe's farm and it's brand new facilities. There was still more to celebrate with Shelford running in the much coveted Golden Slipper and Wi******er representing

the stud later that year in both the Caulfield Cup and the Melbourne Cup. There will be many more exciting times ahead with the multiple G1 winner Toorak Toff and his first crop about to debut at the up coming Magic Millions weanling sales. Starspangledbanner needs no introduction - his win over Denman, So You Think and Manhattan Rain in the 2009 Caulfield Guineas is one of the most memorable races in recent racing history. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoXo5liOrlU
However, hs ability was really put to the test the following year when he raced and won in the biggest and best international sprint, the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot. Rosemont is thrilled to be standing him at stud and is excited by the quality of the book of mare going to him this season.

Well done to our team 🙌🏻 Another big week finished - with, most importantly, all the sales photos and videos of each of our 18 Great Southern weanlings now completed and live on the Inglis website.

The sale weanlings have been turned out and will spend the weekend in their paddocks - before heading to the complex on Monday for a big week of parading and selling!

All the hard work is done 💪🏻 👏🏻

With just one week to go until Great Southern Sale, this week our team has been busy taking the official sales photo and video of each weanling.

Proud would be an understatement! This weekend STARSPANGLEDBANNER has achieved a feat that few before him have - by siring the winners of both G1 Irish 1000 & 2000 Guineas;

GSTAAD (3YO c**t) - took out the G1 Irish 2000 Guineas - Already the Champion European 2YO C**t of last season, we may see him come to AUS and contest the Cox Plate 🤞🏻

PRECISE (3YO filly) - dominant in the G1 Irish 1000 Guineas - The filly was also crowned Champion European 2YO filly last season and could possibly provide “Banner” with his first Epsom Oaks winner if she contests the race in two weeks time.

We are beyond proud of what he continues to achieve and we are delighted to continue to support Starspangledbanner as we look forward to the arrival of our 3 Northern Hemisphere conceived foals this upcoming season - due in September and October - here at Rosemont.

Having spelled here at our Ceres Spelling Farm late last year while also being a graduate of our Ceres team’s ‘treadmill freshen up program’ - we are proud to have played a small part in today’s success.

That’s a wrap on selling at the 2026 Gold Coast Yearling Sale! And what a way to end a fantastic sale… by selling a beautiful Jacquinot filly to a wonderful group of ladies 🏇

It was certainly a long day of selling with our last yearling through the ring selling just 5 lots from the end of the day and the official end of Book 1 - but the ladies have taken home a lovely, athletic filly in Lot 973 Jacquinot x Who Runs The World for $150,000.
