🌈✨A Little Bit About How 2 Little Bub Was Born✨🌈
Hi, my name is Yvonne Chan. 👧🏻
As the youngest child of a single mum with two much older brothers, I often felt alone. I experienced bullying throughout primary and high school until I found my tribe in Year 10, and for many years, I kept my feelings to myself.
I was easily bored, with a constantly busy mind🤯. Art🎨became my safe space, a way to bring my ideas to life, express emotions I couldn’t put into words, and find comfort during difficult times.
Art also helped me develop 🧠 critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity, skills that supported me through my studies and career across sales, customer service and product roles which AI is commonly involved in daily operation.
I believe every child 👧👦or even adults deserve the opportunity to explore, create, think independently and express themselves through art.
After searching for the art classes in the Northern Gold Coast for several years without success, I decided to launch one myself. I’m so excited that our Northern Gold Coast community finally has access to its very own art & craft classes!

❓As a parent, I often ask myself: How will our children thrive in a world shaped by AI?
✨My hope is that my children will grow up managing AI, rather than being managed by it.
❓So, what do children need to develop the confidence and skills to do that?
✨They need opportunities to develop their own ways of thinking, to question, understand and filter the answers that AI provides, while learning how to guide and direct AI to achieve the outcomes they want.
✨Skills such as self-expression, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving need to be experienced and practised in the real world.
🎨That’s where art comes in. 🎨
If you’re looking for an art class where children are simply taught how to draw perfectly, this isn’t it.
💛At 2 Little Bub, I believe art is a journey of exploration. Children are encouraged to develop an idea, experiment, make their own choices and create something meaningful with their own hands and their own thoughts.
💛It’s about the process, not perfection.
💛It’s about curiosity, self-expression, problem-solving and the joy of discovering what they can create.
And sometimes, that means an artwork may take more than one class to complete, and that’s perfectly okay. There’s no rush to finish. We want to give children the time and space to explore, create and learn along the way.

Creative projects children can take home
✨Drawing - learn about scaling
✨ Paint & Create – Explore colours and painting techniques while creating a unique artwork.
✨ Little Makers – Hands-on making activities designed to encourage creativity and imagination.
✨ Bring your favourite scene or character from your favourite story/book life, fun and playful projects perfect for young artists.
✨ A relaxed, friendly and supportive environment
Suitable for children age 5+, all children must be able to go to toilet independently.

🗓️Date: 08 October to 26 November 2026 every Thursday
⏲️Time: 3:30pm-4:30pm
Location: Upper Coomera Community Centre
💳 $360 incl gst per term
All materials included
This weekly after school workshop is a commitment for the 8-week school term. Bookings are essential. Term fees are to be paid in full before the term commences unless otherwise agreed. For missed classes, make-up classes are offered only on the 03 December or 10 December 2026.
