🧑‍🍳 PEPE GARCIA | Head Chef & owner - "The love of good food is in my blood." My grandfather was a chef in Asturias, near San Sebastian in northern Spain. This region is renowned for the quality of its seafood, agriculture and culinary tradition. Because my forefathers come from a traditional farming background, enjoying tasty, hearty food with family and friends was an integral part of how my upb

ringing. Back in Spain I worked for several years in the catering and hospitality industry. So when I moved to Australia I followed my passion and went into working at some iconic restaurants, including my tenure as Executive Chef at Mavis Kitchen and Head Chef of Pablo Pablo (Palm Beach). I started The Spanish Catering to share my love of Spanish gastronomy with my Australian friends. I am also Australian Vice-President of Eat Spanish, the largest gastronomic movement of Spanish chefs outside Spain which is focused on creating a new Spanish cuisine away from cliches and outdated stereotypes with a focus on sustainability and collaboration. When I have a break on my busy routine, I like sharing my passion for Spanish food and entertaining on a regular radio program on 4EB, 98.1FM. Its important to me whenever I am working with a client, to make sure that the food is cooked to perfection, that we maintain great attention to detail and that above all, that the customer is always happy. I look forward to making your next business or private function something really special. 🥘

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of catering a very special wedding that brought us back to .gardens 🌿✨

We absolutely love this venue! 💚

A riverside ceremony, cocktail hour with patatas bravas, chicken skewers, delicious slow-cooked lamb shoulder, plenty of tasty tapas, and of course... paella for everyone 🥘😍

This weekend, in between our usual weddings and birthday parties, we got to be part of something very special once again 🤠🐑

headed back to Thargomindah for the annual shearing competition weekend. One of our favourite outback traditions after 5 years coming back!

From the incredible shearing competitions to live music, local celebrations and the amazing community spirit, it’s always such a unique weekend 🇦🇺🔥

As always, we were there serving our famous roast lamb and giant paellas 🥘🍖 keeping everyone fuelled through the big days.

The welcome we receive every single year is honestly something special ❤️

Thargomindah already feels like home to us.

What a weekend! 🇪🇸✨

We were lucky enough to be part of Britt & Sean’s wedding celebrations at in the Northern Rivers, and honestly… what a vibe. 😍

On Friday, we kicked things off with the rehearsal dinner, serving up some delicious tapas alongside our signature Seafood Paella and Chicken & Chorizo paella. 🥘

The perfect way to warm everyone up for the big day (because every good wedding should start with good food, right?).

Then Saturday arrived with sunshine on cue ☀️ making this stunning venue look even more magical for Britt & Sean’s special day. Safe to say, everything came together beautifully. 🌿
