Thought filled Thursday-

Grocery prices are starting to take up a bigger chunk of your pay check?

Growing food from scraps may be a way to save some cash and give you a new project.

Tomatoes, capsicums and pumpkin are just three things from a massive list you can grow by using seeds from a previous one.

Tomatoes- rinse and dry seeds store in an envelope and put in a dry place OR like the kids do just throw them in the dirt, cover with soil and hope for the best! (The kids method works 99% of the time)

Capsicum- remove seeds from your capsicums, dry them and store in envelope for when ready to use OR use the kids method above.

Pumpkin- scoop and rinse, ferment in water for 1-2 days, rinse until clean, dry well and store in an envelope till ready to use.

What other food do you grow from kitchen scraps?
