Pine View is a 450 acre privately owned property centrally located at Goolma, 3.5 hours from Sydney. We run a working sheep, cattle and cropping farm and would love to welcome visitors. We have various farm animals on the property including sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, dogs, bees and an alpaca. On weekends you are welcome to take part in any of the activities on the property, at your own risk
of course. The kids (and the adults!) might like to feed the chooks and collect the eggs, go on a farm tour, head out at dusk to see how many kangaroos and other wildlife you can see, help groom the horses and toast some marshmallows around a campfire, (weather and RFS permitting) go star gazing, and play ball with the farm dogs. You are welcome to hang out with us as we do various chores around the farm if you'd just like to learn about farming life. Let us know when you arrive what you would like to do and we will do our best to accommodate you. Of course you are welcome to explore the property including the old historic homestead on the property at your leisure. There is various wildlife to be seen including Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Eastern Wallaroos, Wombats, Lace Monitors (Goannas), Wedge Tail Eagles, hawks and many other birds. We have several areas suitable for caravans/camping, one closer to the farm house or if you prefer to be more secluded you can camp further up the back by the big dam. You are also able to camp on the top of the big hill but you will need a 4wd to access this camp area. At this stage we only have unpowered sites, Cols Hill and the House Paddock have toilet facilities but on the other sites you must be self-sufficient . We can offer tank water suitable for drinking and washing. Firewood is available on the property but you will have to collect it yourself. You are welcome to leave your camper/caravan/RV/tent whilst you take a day trip to any of the local attractions. We are less than an hour away from Dubbo Zoo, Old Dubbo Gaol, Wellington Caves, Mudgee and the wineries and the historical town of Gulgong with the Henry Lawson Centre and the Pioneers Museum and the new Holtermann Museum. We welcome singles, couples, families, caravaners, camper trailers, tents, swags, grey nomads and well behaved dogs. There is very limited mobile service and pretty much no internet.
