The boys are coming along so well. 🐮💙

Watching Axel and Dusty walk in their halters like this makes us pretty proud.

What we love most is just how different their personalities are. Axel 💙 is our confident adventurer while Dusty 🩵 is our gentle soul.

Two very different boys, but that's exactly what makes them so special to us. ❤️

A big thank you to Narraburra Farm - Kooroongarra, Darling Downs for trusting us with these two beautiful boys. We couldn’t be happier with them.

It’s been a little while in the making, but our new Damside Highlands website is finally live! 🐮💙

We’ve created a little home online to share more about the boys, life here at Damside, our farm and what we’re hoping to build over time.

What started as an idea has slowly grown into something we’re really enjoying creating, and it’s been great having so many of you following along with us.

Last Sunday, we noticed Teddy was a little slower than normal and resting more than the others.

He was still eating, but something just didn’t seem quite right. We checked his feet, considered worms and searched for ticks but with Teddy’s incredibly thick wool, finding a tick really is like looking for a needle in a haystack. 🐑

By Wednesday, Teddy had started to decline, so we did another thorough check and thankfully found it a tick hidden deep in his thick fleece.

We removed it straight away. Teddy plateaued for a few days, and thankfully he’s now getting a little better each day.

He’s eating, chewing his cud, walking around with the others and starting to look more like himself again. ❤️

It’s been a timely reminder that sheep can be incredibly good at hiding when something isn't right, and sometimes the smallest things can have the biggest impact.

We’re keeping a very close eye on him, but seeing Teddy getting stronger each day is pretty special.

Keep fighting, Teddy. ❤️🐑

There’s something pretty special about the bond that develops between people and animals.

A few cuddles, plenty of scratches… and apparently even a kiss or two. 😂

Our Babydoll sheep have definitely found their people and Larissa has definitely found her happy place.

Just another beautiful day at Damside Highlands. 🌿🐑❤️

Axel 💙 loves a good grooming session… especially when he can rest his big head on me and enjoy a few scratches.

Everything was going beautifully… until he let out a massive burp. 😂

Me: “Ah… did you just do a burp?” 🤣

Apparently grooming comes with a few unexpected side effects when you’re a Highland cow! 🐮💨😂
