Hap's is excited for Plastic Free July. Please support our leadership in the market stall space by eliminating any single use plastics. Happy days 🙂🥤👍💫🌏

On Wednesday 1 July, we’re making a world record attempt for “The Most People Refusing Single-Use Plastic in One Day” – and we want you to be part of it.

To help us make history, all you have to do is:
♻️ Choose one single-use plastic to avoid (such as disposable cups or plastic bags)
♻️ On July 1, make a Plastic Free Pledge on our website - plasticfreejuly.org/pledge
♻️ Get your friends, family, and community together to make a Pledge together
Remember, to make sure it counts towards our world record attempt, you need to make your Pledge specifically on July 1.

An epic 'EASTer' weekend - at Australia's most EASTerly point!

Three massive markets in three days & we could not have achieved it without expert assistance of Tanya & her incredible family. Grace Guiuo & myself are very very grateful 🙏

I would also like to acknowledge the gentle, persistence of senior stallholders, who go quietly about their business all-the-while staying open to friendships with younger generations and often enduring a general lack of community recognition. Sometimes at over 80 years of age.

This photo captures a moment with just two of the many senior stallholders I'm lucky enough to know: Lyn & Colin (each have their own distinct stall). I'm glad to call Lyn & Colin friends and I admire them each for their unique personalities and pertinent stall offerings.

In an age of instant virtual gratification, it's very humbling to be a small part of the non-internet world where genuine offerings are embodied by actual humans without corporate interests, career KPIs, or covert controls.

To all the elders who raise their marquees each market - sometimes in the rain and wind - you are honoured, you are seen ☀️
