I took advice and threw Buckwheat seed to the wind 30 days ago. Thankfully it landed in a bed of compost and now I’m including this divine foliage in my bouquets. Isn’t it magic ✨

Will be planting more as February was a little early for a winter grain but hey, not complaining I’m in love with buckwheat 🤍

My tomatoes are on 🍅✨

This is the crop I’ve always aimed for — and so often missed — here on the Northern Rivers. Year after year I’ve tried, tweaked, hoped… and this season it’s finally happening.

Growing up in Tasmania, I watched Mum and Dad grow tomatoes every summer. The kitchen would turn into a whirlwind of bottling, sauce-making and that unmistakable smell of tomato relish simmering away. It felt like the rhythm of the season.

Now, standing here with my own crop ripening on the vine, it feels like such a full-circle moment — following in their footsteps, hands in the same kind of harvest, carrying on the same quiet tradition. ❤️

Here’s to tomatoes, memories, and seasons that teach us patience.
