12 months ago today, we received the keys to the farm gate… and had absolutely no idea just how much our lives were about to change.

What a wild 12 months it’s been. So much learning, growing, hard work, crazy ideas and plenty of moments wondering what on earth we’d gotten ourselves into.

And now, exactly one year later, we’re preparing for our very first Dahlia Tuber Sale at Greenfinch Farm.

Excited, nervous and still learning as we go.

But mostly, I’m just so proud of this man and everything we’ve achieved together in months but even more, in 22 years. We’ve worked hard, made mistakes, figured things out along the way and just kept going.

From getting the keys to the farm gate to standing here 12 months later… pretty proud of how far we’ve come.

And whatever comes next, we’ll tackle it together. ❤️

The goats have been extra naughty today. 🐐😂

They escaped their pen and have been running amok around the farm… with the flower fields firmly in their sights. 🌸👀

Apparently the grass isn’t greener on the other side — the flowers are just tastier. 😂

Join us at Green Finch Farm on Saturday, 10 October from 10am–3pm for our Dahlia Tuber Sale!

We’ll have over 100 varieties available, and we’re very excited to be joined by Gerard from HighlandDahlias , a multi-award-winning dahlia grower. 🌸

Gerard will be sharing demonstrations, tips and plenty of dahlia-growing knowledge throughout the day and we’ll all be more than happy for you to come and pick our brains!

We’re getting ready for our tuber sale next weekend and we’re lucky to be joined by Gerard from HighlandDahlias !

Gerard will be doing a few demonstrations throughout the day and sharing plenty of tips and advice. So if you’re planning to grow your own dahlias this season, come along, pick our brains and ask all those questions you’ve been wondering about.

We’ll have plenty of tubers available, including lots of our own varieties.

🌸 We’re opening Sunday and Monday over the long weekend!

Come out to Greenfinch Farm between 8am–10am and pick your own ranunculus.

Our school holiday special for the kids is:

🌸 10 stems + jar — $20
🌸 20 stems + jar — $40

Once they’ve picked their flowers, we’ll show them how to turn them into their own little arrangement to take home.

Numbers and flowers are limited, so please book online or send us a message to secure your spot.

School holiday mornings at Greenfinch Farm 🌸

Bring the kids out to the farm to pick their own beautiful ranunculus, then turn their flowers into a gorgeous little arrangement to take home.

🌸 Small Mason Jar — $20
Pick 10 ranunculus

🌸 Large Mason Jar — $40
Pick 20 ranunculus

We’ll help the kids put their arrangement together, then you’re welcome to bring some morning tea and enjoy our picnic tables while you’re here.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday for our Dahlia Masterclass. And a massive thank you to Gerard for importing all his knowledge and experience.

What a fantastic day it was! We spent the morning getting our hands dirty and our boots muddy while learning all about digging and dividing tubers, seasonal preparation, pest control, propagation and setting ourselves up for a successful growing season ahead.

With around 15 wonderful people attending, it was more than just a workshop. It was a day filled with learning, laughter, connection and sharing a passion for growing beautiful flowers.

After all the hard work, we sat down together for a lovely meal, chatted, swapped stories and enjoyed each other’s company. These moments of community are just as special as the flowers themselves.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so memorable. We can’t wait to do it all again at our Buy & Swap event on the 19th of September. Who’s joining us?
