Yarra Yering has been named The Real Review Winery of the Year Australia 2026 - the third time we’ve received this honour, following previous titles in 2021 and 2024.

A humbling recognition of consistency at the highest level, this award reflects the dedication of our entire team and a shared commitment to producing wines of precision, character and longevity.

“For Yarra Yering to be crowned Winery of the Year for the third time is absolutely thrilling for the whole team. We feel very fortunate to work with such a special vineyard resource, and to have an exceptional team around us as we continue to build on the legacy of Yarra Yering”. - Sarah Crowe, Winemaker and General Manager

The 2024 Annual Release has arrived.

A vintage quietly building in both detail and completeness. The season demanded patience, followed by a long, even ripening period that has brought clarity, composure and a distinct sense of place to the wines.

“The 2024 Yarra Yering releases highlight exceptional standards of viticulture and winemaking. Sarah Crowe and her team have produced a collection of resplendent wines.” — Andrew Caillard MW

As part of the EcoVineyards program, microbat boxes have been installed across the vineyard - creating habitat for native species and supporting a more balanced ecosystem.

Recent acoustic monitoring has confirmed seven species of insectivorous bats on site, including a threatened species.

Small, largely unseen, and highly effective - microbats can consume thousands of insects each night, playing a natural role in vineyard pest control and reducing reliance on chemical intervention, alongside other natural systems already at work in the vineyard.

Sarah Crowe and Andrew George have been named finalists for Vigneron of the Year Australia in The Real Review Top Wineries Awards 2026.

The category recognises winegrowers shaping wines from vineyard to bottle — a complete expression of site, season and intent.

The nomination is a deeply meaningful recognition of the work, the care, and the people behind the wines. It’s a privilege to be named alongside Wines and SC Pannell - the winner will be announced on 11 May.

Pinot Noir moving through the press, the wine separating from skins and seeds before heading to tank. Even at this early stage, we’re seeing the hallmark characteristics of our house style evolving.

Meet Noodles - Winemaker Ben Buckingham’s latest recruit, and a new set of paws on deck for Vintage 2026.

A 12-month-old kelpie cross, she’s found her place quickly — moving easily between the energy of vintage and the quieter moments in the winery. There’s a natural rhythm to her days: bursts of play (mostly with Willa), long stretches of rest, and always close by when there’s work to be done.

Adopted from Australian Working Dog Rescue, she’s already a much-loved part of the Yarra Yering team.

Shiraz harvest has now drawn to a close, and we’ve begun picking Cabernet, commencing with the lower section of Block No. 1.

With nets coming off across the vineyard, the rows are opening again — a subtle shift as we move from one variety to the next.

A long, measured season continues, each block reaching readiness in its own time.

After a stop–start season shaped by atypical weather, Shiraz harvest has begun.

First planted here in 1969, Shiraz remains the most widely grown variety on our site. Across blocks, aspects and clonal variation, it continues to offer remarkable range — from structured, cellar-worthy wines to more lifted and expressive styles.

This year, bunch size is up, and flavour has developed more slowly and evenly — the fruit harvested so far is tasting great as it arrives in the winery.

A promising stage of the season, with plenty still to unfold.

The newly released 2025 Light Dry Red Pinot Shiraz celebrates a style defined by fragrance, freshness and immediacy — vibrant, expressive and perfectly suited to the Australian climate.

Shaped by a warm, dry season, Pinot Noir brings signature cherry fruits while Shiraz adds layers of plum and gentle spice. In 2025, the blend returns to an even split of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Shiraz, creating a supple, flowing palate with fine tannins.

Bright, fragrant and effortlessly drinkable. Ready to enjoy now: https://shop.yarrayering.com/2025-light-dry-red-pinot-shiraz/
