Our food menu here at Medhurst offers a small but high-quality selection of dishes intentionally designed to elevate our hand-crafted, small-batch wines.

We use some incredible local and international suppliers providing us with some beautiful ingredients to produce dishes that are designed to share. No fuss, simple and most of all, delicious.

Think artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, pâté, rillets, freshly baked bread, anchovies… to list but a few.

Gather some friends, bring a date, taste some great wines, stay till golden hour!

Join us over the Kings Birthday long weekend and embrace the cooler weather! While the Vines sleep, our wines are very much alive. Our fire will be lit, and our hospitality warm.

We have a range of tasting options available that are accessible to all, or spend some time and enjoy wine-focused bites from our Food for Wine menu.

As part of Fireside Festival, we present to you - Swine & Vine...

A celebration of our Estate Grown Wines paired with the humble Pig.

Indulge at Medhurst Wines and experience the classic flavours of Porchetta when paired with our Estate Grown Wines. Cooked low and slow on the spit, over coals, and under the watchful eye of the talented who we wholeheartedly welcome back for a second year.

Our Cellar Door will be transformed from 3pm – 6pm where we will see Khristian prepare a long lunch feast served family style across one long table through the centre of our Cellar Door. There will be a selection of entrees and snacks followed by spit-roasted Porchetta, roasted root veggies, Brussels with bacon and a range of other hearty dishes to accompany. We will finish with an indulgent Tiramisu, spooned tableside to wrap things up!

We will have a selection of our Museum wines to enjoy on the day with our current vintages available also.

Golden hour will be on full display, fire pits will be dotted around our gardens, and live jazz will set the mood.

If you can’t make the event, we will have Fireside festivities running from 11am - 2pm on the same day, Sunday 28th June where we will have firepits dotted around our gardens, Porchetta Rolls available for purchase, and free hot chocolate and marshmallows for the kids!!

We’re thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with through the winter months as part of their limited-edition Purple Route.

Hop It is a ‘Hop on – Hop off’ winery tour business founded by duo Sara & Jon, who just happen to be two of the loveliest humans around. They’ve carved their niche in a crowded market by identifying a need to make winery hopping effortless, and at a price point that is accessible to all. They’ve truly succeeded!

If you haven’t spent a day with the Hop It crew, then you’re in for a treat. Expect a seriously knowledgeable, entertaining, and professional experience from start to finish.

We happen to think that Winter is one of the most beautiful times to visit our Estate here at Medhurst, so there’s no better excuse to get ‘Hopping’!

The marked change between daytime and nighttime temperatures in a vineyard. Large shifts—often 15–20°C or more—are ideal. Warm days drive sugar development, while cool nights preserve acidity and aromatics, resulting in balanced, fresh, and complex wines.

The Yarra Valley is famed for producing wines with incredible aromatics and structure, and much of this is attributed to its diurnal temperature change.

Our YRB is a nod to the famed wine of the Hunter Valley Region - Hunter River Burgandy whereby in the 1940’s, Shiraz and Pinot Noir were blended to produce a lighter style of table wine.

Fast-forward to today, our YRB (we’ll let you piece together the abbreviation) is a wine of finesse, with the prettiness of Pinot Noir, and the structure of cool climate Shiraz, all grown on our Estate here at Medhurst Wines. Diurnal temperature swings help to preserve a wonderful acidity in this wine and preserve its delicate aromatics.

If you haven’t tried our latest release, 2023 Medhurst YRB, then come on down to our Cellar Door and try this iconic Australian style for yourself!

It’s official, the first fire of the season has been lit. As we slip into some cooler weather over the weekend, this baby will be keeping us company.
