Established in 1989 by John and Judy Burford, the vineyard is located north of Mt Franklin 500 meters off the midland highway between Daylesford and Castlemaine and adjacent to the Upper Loddon state forest. First plantings were Cabernet Sauvignon in 1989, the Shiraz in 1990. Plantings of Merlot, Tempranillo and Chardonnay were added in later years. Fruit from the vines is hand picked at optimum a

cid and sugar levels and using traditional wine making methods the wines can truly be classified as hand crafted. The care given to our vines all year round and the attention during the wine making and maturation process, ensures every drop will be enjoyed. Our wines are finished with minimal filtration and preservatives. We do not use egg products in our process.
