The National Varroa Mite Management Program has a new-look website.
The website features direct links to training, monitoring and reporting mechanisms as well as contact links for Varroa Development Officers and the National Pollination Industry Coordinator.

Varroa Development Officers (VDO) are here to help us get our heads around what we need to do to manage Varroa mites in our bees. They are not enforcement or compliance officers, but trainers here to help us learn.
If you’ve missed the training or just want some help to check your hive and test for Varroa, get in touch with them.
Our local VDO in based in the southern highlands and happy to travel here to help us.

Australia's only working honey sommelier, Jessica Locarnini, aka is coming to Canberra this coming weekend thanks to local beekeeper and flower grower, Cristian from .

Canberra beekeepers produce unique honey flavours thanks to our cool climate and varied flora. Jess will walk guests through the different flavours of multiple local honey varieties.

How can you help? If you or someone you know someone is interested in bees, honey or locally produced food, buy a ticket for one of the events from the Eventbrite website and support local beekeepers. This would make a great father's day present!

NSW Government announcement for additional funding to continue fighting the Varroa incursion.

The NSW Government today announced $31 million to support beekeepers, horticulture and cropping industries affected by the Varroa mite outbreak.

Restricting movement of the Varroa mite is essential in eradicating this destructive pest. Illegal hive movements undo the hard work achieved so far and jeopardise our honey and pollination-dependent industries.

So far the taste testers are happy, so that’s a great start.

Nemori Honeybees is part of Nemori Flower Farm and is a family owned and operated business producing raw and chemical free honey, sourced from our own hives on our farm in Yass River, NSW.
Located in the picturesque Yass Valley, 1 hour north of Canberra, the land is predominately Box Gum Grassy Woodland with a wide variety of native flora available for the bees to forage on.
Our primary focus is on the health and wellbeing of the bees.
All honey is harvested by hand, strained and bottled without the use of any heat, additional filtration or processing.
All packaging is Australian made and supplied, and any plastics are recyclable.
We also provide hive management services, beekeeping training and mentoring, and beekeeping equipment.
