The National Varroa Mite Management Program has a new-look website.
The website features direct links to training, monitoring and reporting mechanisms as well as contact links for Varroa Development Officers and the National Pollination Industry Coordinator.
Varroa Development Officers (VDO) are here to help us get our heads around what we need to do to manage Varroa mites in our bees. They are not enforcement or compliance officers, but trainers here to help us learn.
If you’ve missed the training or just want some help to check your hive and test for Varroa, get in touch with them.
Our local VDO in based in the southern highlands and happy to travel here to help us.
