Tomorrow the doors will close for the last time on this crazy adventure Jason and I started together in August last year.

I’d like to thank all our customers for your support during our operation and for your understanding as I close this chapter and look to heal and take steps towards the next one.

As well as mince and snags we have a few freezer specials including lamb roasts, beef brisket, dog bones + more.

In my haste to announce the closing of the shop yesterday it was remiss of me to thank Jason’s biggest supporters - his parents Stuart and Jennifer Siddell.

Not only were they instrumental in renovating, setting up and lending a hand in the shop but also supplied a number of steers through the shop, bred from sires and cow lines Jason had selected for Fig Tree Park Angus

Jason’s brother Scott also did a great job setting up the website and spruiking sales in the Sunshine State👌🏼

Dear valued customers

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the closing of Top of the Range Meat Company as of Friday 12 July 2024. A lot of thought and angst has gone into making this unbelievably difficult decision.

However without the support of my late husband Jason, and many other changes that have pulled me away from the shop, I feel at this point in time I cannot continue to keep it going.

I would like to sincerely thank our loyal customers for their support over the past 10 months as we worked tirelessly to make this dream come true. Jason’s passion was the Australian beef industry and his Angus Cattle. Top of the Range allowed him to live out his dream of owning a paddock to plate business where we could see and reap the benefits of 25 years of his breeding selections.

I’d also like to thank Dan & Jess Sisson and family and Andy & Jo Burwell for consistently supplying top quality pasture raised lamb to the shop. So many customers would comment about it being the best they have ever tasted!

A huge shout out also goes to everyone that has come into the shop to lend a hand when I was drowning in meat, to everyone that has worked in the shop breaking and packing meat. Steve Kliendienst, John & Pip Grills, Lynn & Jess Taylor, Darcey & Dean Heagney, Lachie Clark, Corrine Tait, Brodie Goodhand, Mette Madsen & many others - I couldn’t have gotten through the past few months without you.

Finally I would like to thank Jamie & Laura Vidler, without whom this dream wouldn’t have been at all possible. Laura and I have shared a lot of blood (not our own), sweat and tears (mostly mine) over this journey, and I’ll be forever grateful not only for her hard work but also her friendship, as both her and Jamie have supported me on this very tough decision.

Top of the Range will be closed from 3pm this afternoon Thursday 4 July as we prepare for our final Fig Tree Park Angus Stud Bull Sale tomorrow. We will reopen Monday 8 July for our final week of trading. Please come in and grab yourself some of the last Top of the Range Meat! There will be bulk buy specials throughout next week.

Full steam ahead for this years Annual Fig Tree Park Bull Sale!

This year is different in many ways, but most difficult is that we are doing it without Stud Principal Jason Siddell, who lost his battle to cancer on May 13. It is in his honour that we go ahead with the sale and celebrate 25 years of Fig Tree Park Angus Stud.

The sale will be held on property Friday 5th July at 1pm, with inspections from 9am on sale day. The sale will be interfaced online with .australia
