Tomorrow, Wednesday 26 August, our clients will receive a special little treat with their meal — a Dixie cup of ice cream! 🍨

Why ice cream? There’s a lovely bit of history behind it! ❤️

55 years ago, ice cream was the very first dessert served at Gympie Meals on Wheels. 🎉

And for the past 15 years, we’ve continued this tradition as a special way to celebrate our clients, our volunteers and the wonderful history of Meals on Wheels in Gympie. 🥰

So tomorrow, enjoy your ice cream and join us in celebrating National Meals on Wheels Day! 🇦🇺

Here’s to 55 years of caring, connection and community — and to many more years to come! 💙💚

Monday: Savoury bacon & vegetable frittata paired with a comforting pumpkin & bean soup and a zesty lemon & coconut slice for dessert! 🍋
Wednesday: Hearty Spaghetti Bolognese, chicken & vegetable soup, and a moist orange & almond cake. 🍝
Friday: Honey mustard chicken casserole, traditional pea & ham soup, and a spiced gingerbread slice with pear & custard. 🍮
