Finally starting to get a few more eggs!! Really happy with the variety of colours, some Pullets from last season have started laying , marans x coloured egg girls, to see what we get , I’m liking the olive green with caramel spots, and the pink !!

We will be offering some fertile eggs this season, which will include these coloured “ all sorts” once we can test fertility and the weather warms up! For now they are pretty baking and breakfast eggs 😊

Just your typical Friday night 🤣🦆🐓, the plan Was to be home by 4pm - the universe had other plans today - we soldier on and get done what we can!! A new one - washing ducks via torch light, they didn’t seem to mind, they washed themselves pretty much! Had both hayshed cats assisting chook prep - much appreciated kitties 🤦🏼‍♂️

We are celebrating 80 Years since the formation of the club - great prize money , great poultry, good company !! Entries closing soon, visitors most welcome if you would just like to see all of the breeds presented!!

June young birds show last Sunday, we took, Japanese bantams, Belgian Duccles in a few colours , and a couple Rouen ducks ( bred by Tamara Howie ) to see how they would go,
The Duck won champion heavy water fowl, and our black Belgian pullet won champion true bantam, we were quite suprised as there was some good competition in the bantams!
