With Mother's day a distant memory and flower supplies building it's time for our Pink Ice special. You will find posies at the gate for $10 or you can order gift wrapped. As long as the wrapper is about there is only one of us gifted in that department. Picking is easy compared to wrapping.
Mixed bunches available as always with some of our newer varieties. Cream Mink, Stately, Susara, Donna, Australis to name a few. Actually that's all of them.

Challenging is how we would describe the last two years, but Protea season is upon us again. No new plantings this autumn, we thought our water supplies were low last year (left) now (right) there is just enough to keep the yabbies alive, no extra water for new plants.
Last season we sold every stem we produced locally, or at least within a couple of hours of Hamilton, which was a great milestone for our growing local clientele.
It is Cream Mink (pic) which kicks off the season, the pink ice and a few newer varieties won't be too far away.
We're keeping gate prices the same, we realise it's costing customers more to come get them now! Supply will be scarce for a bit, but taking orders if we can fill them.

It's Stumpy and Seconds Sunday. For $3 and $2 respectively these short, bent or open stems can still make some stunning DIY arrangements.

Sunday evening pick in peak supply week. We found the newest planting of leaucospernum flowering spectacularly, and just beat the showers. Doing this post is procrastinating on the sorting, which is going to be a three beer job tonight.
