A little update from the farm…
Firstly, thank you to everyone who has supported Vine View Farm this year so far. Whether you've bought our cheese, stopped for a chat at the markets or simply followed along, we're incredibly grateful. Taking a product that we genuinely love making—and love eating ourselves—to our local markets was equal parts exciting and terrifying. The encouragement, kind words and repeat customers have made every early morning worthwhile.
This week we welcomed our first kids of the season... and they arrived as triplets. 🐐🐐🐐
For the next little while, every drop of milk belongs to these hungry little mouths. So, as much as we'd love to be making cheese, raising healthy kids comes first. This means we'll be taking a short break from the markets. We'll let you know as soon as the girls are producing more milk than their babies can drink and we're back making cheese again.
In the meantime, we'll keep the baby goat updates coming while the cheesemaking is on hold. We hope they're an acceptable substitute for cheese over the next few weeks…!
Once we're back in production, we're also looking forward to supplying a few local retailers alongside returning to the markets.
