Toowoomba Royal Show 2026

Well what a huge 4 days with 13 head. Ella and Nash worked extremely hard. Nash first big Royal show leading his very own steer.

Result Led steers

🏅5th place with McFlurry in the light weight steers 301kg to 350kg

🥉3rd place with Chip in the medium weight class 481kg to 550kg

No placing for Nash and his steer Warrior Ace but Nash did an amazing job at leading him in the junior led steer class up to 450kg.

Reserve Junior Bull.

Nash also received a encouragement 1st Ribbon in the Pee-wee Paraders class.

Ella 5th in the 8 Years to 15 years Paraders class.

Extremely proud of Ella who clipped all 13 head the week before and broke in an extra 4 sale steers the month before. Your hard work gets notice by many. Keep chasing those dreams and always stay humble sweet.

Some of our babies born end of last season start of this season. A few more but couldn't find them all today. Stud Squares and commercial calves. The Squares really do put their mark on them.

So Australia day gave us our first calf of the year and yesterday our second calf for 2026. Little bull calf and heifer calf. Next lot will be due around August.

Welcome to the world pretty girl! Vesco Pretty as a Picture has done it again. Given us a beautiful heifer calf this afternoon. Kids have named her Chelna Who's fancy now. I think it suits her very much.

Well the kid has done it again. Extremely proud Ella hard work really does pay off. So tonight we got the results of the Colin say & Co beef extravaganza carcass. Cookie Crumble our Square Meter Steer took out 1st place in his class then went on to be Champion butcher steer. We are over the moon with our results. First time competing at the Glen Innes Colin say beef extravaganza and Ella did extremely well I don't think we could have wished for better results. Keep them big dreams coming sweet heart. What a ripper weekend at the Beef Extravaganza.- Colin Say and Company Pty Ltd. Ella took Cookie Crumble one of her Square Meater breed steers down to Glen Innes and came away with Reserve Champion butcher steer she could not be happy. Ella also won reserve champion parader on Friday afternoon and then went on to win a third place in junior judging.

We could not be prouder she has definitely put in a lot of hard work. Huge thank you to Brad Stenzel and Sharon Stenzel and family for taking Ella down on Friday morning so she could participate in these junior events and letting her use one of their led steers for Paradise.

Big shout out to Shad Bailey for such a well organised and run event We definitely enjoyed our first one and will be back. Big thanks to all the sponsors and other exhibitors. Huge thanks to Charlize Taylor for her amazing photos.

Lastly a big shout out to Anthony Cannon who is our biggest supporter and does so much to make this possible for us all.

Well what a week with ekka almost over for 2025. Ella has had a fantastic week. Super proud of this kid not just for this week but for the last 7 months. Her efforts from buying her steer to breaking in all her own cattle, feeding, preparation and showing has been astonishing. With very minimal help.

To start the week off Ella had her steer 2% in the 1st medium weight class of 34 with some very outstanding steers.

Thursday was the youth events which saw her place in the top 8 for the under 13 year old and she received a highly commended for her efforts in junior judging. Ella also competed in prime judging and paraders competition. She did an amazing job on both but didn't place.

Saturday was stud judging for the Square metres. Her junior heifer Vesco Violet crumble placed second in her class. Her junior ball Chelan Va Va Voom place 1st then went on to winning junior champion bull.

Ant and I could not be prouder of all her efforts. This kid puts in an exceptional amount of hard work into her love of cattle and it's great to see it all pay off. Now to pack up and head home tomorrow afternoon. Anthony Cannon
