One great vintage is luck. More than that is Provenance.

New for 2026 James Halliday Chardonnay and Cabernet Challenge : the W**e of Provenance Award. Not the best w**e of the year - the best w**e, year after year. Entrants submit three vintages of the dame label across at least eight years, judged side by side. Consistency is the hardest thing in w**e. This award finds it.

Winners revealed 13 October.
