It’s conveniently International Chardonnay Day today. Not that we needed an excuse.

Chardonnay is in our vineyards, in our glasses, on our dinner tables and absolutely in the conversations across the tasting bench before midday.

From bright, citrusy Yarra Valley Chardonnay to the layered harmony of Circle of Fifths and the pure voices of our Single Vineyard sites, it’s a grape we’re always happy to talk about (and enjoy) at length.

A day dedicated to Chardonnay? We’ll allow it.

At Giant Steps, our Single Vineyard wines sit at the heart of what we do, and our Wine Club is the first place to access them.

Members receive priority access to our most limited releases, including first access to the 2025 Single Vineyard collection this July: wines that express the individual character of our most distinctive Yarra Valley sites.

This year, members will also receive access to our exclusive Primavera Chardonnay, produced in extremely limited quantities and available only through the Club.

2025 Giant Steps Circle of Fifths Chardonnay

A blend of equal portions of all the Giant Steps single-vineyard wines. With its aromas of white nectarine, lemon verbena, a little cashew and attractive marine scents, this is immediately appealing. On the palate it’s concentrated with grapefruit pith and lemony acidity on the long finish. A class act to drink now and over the next four to six years. 96pts, Philip Rich

2025 Giant Steps Circle of Fifths Pinot Noir

A blend of all the single-vineyard wines. 40% whole bunches. A medium, bright crimson red. A beautifully fragrant wine with its aromas of perfectly ripened strawberry, black raspberry, rose, lavender and cinnamon stick. Unfurls on the medium-bodied, textured and mouth-filling palate. The tannins are succulent and you barely notice the whole bunches. A step up on last year’s Circle of Fifths and a wine that will still be looking good a decade from now. 96+ pts, Philip Rich
