🌱 What does “Sustainable Winegrowing Australia Certified” actually mean?

For us, sustainability goes far beyond recycling or reducing waste. The certification process looks at every part of our vineyard and winery operations, including:

• Water and energy use
• Soil health and biodiversity
• Waste reduction
• Vineyard management
• Packaging and production practices
• Supporting our people and local community

Becoming certified means our practices are independently audited and measured against national sustainability standards, helping ensure we continue improving each year.

As a family-owned winery, sustainability isn’t just about today’s vintage — it’s about protecting this land and region for generations to come. 🌿

"What I love about the Gravel Pit Shiraz is how much it stands out from other wines.

You can really taste the unique character of the specific block it comes from. It’s the perfect mix of premium fruit and thoughtful winemaking that comes together beautifully. It’s an absolute winner for me," says Willow Bridge Estate owner, Jeff Dewar.

Crafted from one of our standout vineyard blocks, Gravel Pit Shiraz is bold, expressive and unmistakably reflective of site — a wine with depth, character and presence in every glass 🍷

We recently served Gravel Pit Shiraz at our Members’ Evening, where it was the perfect match for a relaxed night of great food, wine and conversation.

🌿 We’re proud to share that Willow Bridge Estate is now officially certified through Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.

Sustainability has long been part of how we grow grapes and make wine here in the Ferguson Valley. From the vineyard through to the winery, we’ve always believed great wine begins with healthy soils, thoughtful vineyard practices, and caring for the land around us.

Achieving certification formalises practices we’ve been building on for many years and ensures we continue improving for future vintages to come.

What makes this milestone even more meaningful is that sustainable certification is still relatively rare outside larger wine regions in WA, with only a small number of accredited producers across regional areas like Geographe.

This is just one step in our ongoing journey. 🍇

Bold, plush and unmistakably Ferguson Valley. 🍷

Our Gravel Pit Shiraz is sourced from the estate’s hillside Gravel Pit block, where deep ironstone gravelly loam soils help shape its rich character and signature spice. Layers of ripe plum and blueberries meet notes of cedar, vanilla, pepper and earthy tannin, creating a wine with depth, warmth and a long, flavoursome finish.

Made for cooler evenings, slow dinners and the moments when the conversation deepens beside the fire.

It seems everyone is loving our Geographe Chardonnay — and we can see why 🍇✨

Our G1-10 Chardonnay is absolutely flying out the door at the moment. Hand-picked, gently pressed and matured for 12 months in French oak, this wine is beautifully balanced with texture, complexity and freshness.

A true expression of Geographe Chardonnay and one we’re incredibly proud of.

Available online or pop into the cellar door for a tasting 🍷

It's Chardonnay Day and we're celebrating with two of our favourites:

💛 G1-10 - From the magnificent 2025 vintage, the G1-10 shows lifted white nectarine, grapefruit and jasmine flowers fitting seamlessly with spicy French oak and flowing acidity.

💛 Dragonfly Chardonnay - Defined aromatics of grapefruit, green figs and gentle aromatics of lemon-scented gum trees. Finely structured Chardonnay, with rolling flavours of stonefruit and citrus, carries bright acidity, impressing with its length and texture.

Pop into the cellar door any time this week, we're open 10.30am - 4.30pm

With vintage behind us, all wines are now sugar dry, and the reds have successfully completed malolactic fermentation. The first 2026 wine to be bottled will be our Rosa Solana this July.

In the cellar, we’re currently racking the older reds while continuing to stir the new Chardonnays as they develop texture and complexity.

Out in the vineyard, it’s a spectacular time of year. The contrasting yellow, green and bronze tones of the white varietals against the deep burgundy colours of the reds make it easy to spot the different blocks across the property.

Now we patiently wait for the vines to finish translocating nutrients from leaves to roots before pruning begins in July. With no rain immediately on the horizon, conditions remain calm as the vineyard settles into the next stage of the season.
