Some stories just hit different. ❤️

We have 20 meals set aside for families in our community who are struggling financially right now.

But there’s a story behind them worth sharing.

Phyoe first came to us back in 2024 when she organised meals for people in need to mark her own birthday. Not a party. Not gifts. Meals for strangers.

Recently, she reached out again.

She’d just lost her grandmother. A beautiful woman who lived 99 full years, and would have turned 100 this July.

In the middle of that grief, Phyoe organised another 10 meals for families in our community who are struggling. Because she said it’s what her grandmother would have wanted.

So we doubled it.

Phyoe works at Cairns Hospital. She’s busy, she’s grieving, and she still chose to think of others. That says more about a person’s character than almost anything.

We’re so grateful she trusted us to be part of something so personal.

These meals aren’t just food. They’re a grandmother’s legacy, passed forward by the granddaughter who loved her.

Rest easy, Nan. 🙏

We did it again ❤️

This time at Ingenia Lifestyle Village, Hervey Bay… what a great turnout 🙌

We hosted another FREE tasting event and the response was amazing. So many residents came through, had a chat, tasted the meals, and shared some lovely feedback.

It’s all about giving our elderly more choice and helping them discover options they may not have tried before, especially when it comes to something as important as their meals.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us, and a big welcome to our new customers who joined us on the spot 🙏

Back in November, we went for a feed and a night out 😂
We knew we were shortlisted… but that was it.

Then they called our name for Best New Fraser Coast Business 2025 🏆

We weren’t ready. No speech.
Just two people who showed up hungry.

Another great day with another community in Bundaberg❤️

We hosted a tasting event at Sugarland Gardens Retirement Village in Bundaberg and the response was amazing, lots of happy faces, great chats, and empty plates all around 🙌

Welcomed a few new clients on the spot and more interest already coming through.

We’ve got more FREE tastings happening across Wide Bay & Gympie. If you’re in a retirement village (or know someone who is), reach out and we’ll bring it to you.

Yesterday was something special ❤️

We hosted a tasting event at Ingenia Drift Lifestyle Village in Bundaberg and the response blew us away — 25+ residents joined us, the feedback was incredible, and we welcomed 6 new clients on the spot 🙌

Moments like this remind us why we started Social Box… when the food is genuinely good, it speaks for itself.

We’ve got more FREE tasting events lined up across retirement villages this month and next and we’d love to visit more communities.
