Today we celebrate are RUOK day.

We all go through our own personal battles in life, and just simply knowing somebody is there to just listen can mean so much.

Here at Whale Bay Cafe we don't just reach out on this particular day, so if you need an ear we are always here.

Remember it's not week to speak.

I honestly would of never thought in a million years that this journey started with a cookie.

I had always been a hobbyist baker, some creativeness to provide my kids a cool birthday cake, but going through some tough times in life i used baking as a distraction which is where i decided to launch D&S homemade baked goods.
From markets and events to growing and extending our business to our much loved coffee van Whale Bay Coffee- D&S Homemade Baked Goods.

Now over a year, we now have bricks and mortar and Whale Bay Cafe was opened.

We have been blessed to be recognized for our hard work and dedication. Today we were able to be part of Fraser Coast Regional Council grand opening, all I can say is what an incredible honour and a personal accomplishment. Being able to provide a part of the future history. Wow just wow.

I still feel so gobsmacked that, of what I always thought was just a pipe dream, is now the reality I get to live every day. And in such a beautiful town.

I've never really been social media-driven, or even comprehend people's opinions on most subjects. But honestly this new library is such a fantastic place where I can see hervey bay familys and visitors enjoying the reserves. Its actually a really cool space.

Anyway enough from me head in an check it out. I think you will be surprised. We certainly were.

🙌New Menu is ready to be released tomorrow (Monday 31st) 🙌

After a lot of trial and error, we have come up with what we think is an amazing menu.

Something to cater for everyone.

GF OPTIONS AVAILABLE and did you know we also have a fryer and toaster designed for GF only.

We use GF fries, Ice cream and all our sauces are also GF.

Our daily ca
binet will be filled with fresh baked goods, ready to go sandwiches, wraps, focaccia rolls and lots more.

Your support means the world to us and drives us to continue to provide a service we are proud of.

Just a personal shout out to our chef Brayden, he has been with us from day one and constantly surprises us with his dedication.

This is his menu design and we couldn't be more proud to present this to you all.

🤗Wow what a week.🤗

There has been so much happening in the background for the upcoming week.

- Our new menu will be released Monday, with lots of your favourites
- An upgraded drinks menu, with our monthly cold foams
- the grand opening of Fraser Coast Regional Council, which i have be blessed in creating their cake and representing my small business.
- New items added to the cake display.

We all can't wait to welcome you to another week.

For now my feet are going up, and early night sleep is on the cards.

Vegetable Spring Rolls ($11.90): 4x crispy spring rolls served with sweet chilli sauce.

We recently had a customer come in store and request a birthday cake for her sons 6th birthday
She had stated he loved crocodiles,

Well that got my creative brain switched on, and said how about I make it 3d 🤷‍♀️

This custom-sculpted, life-like crocodile cake was brought to life for a very lucky 6-year-old crocodile lover, and every fierce detail was crafted by hand.

The Structure & Sculpting is built using a sturdy, delicious core of crispy rice cereal treats, allowing for wild, custom-sculpted details—from the jagged, scaly tail curled along the board to the powerful, textured snout.

It honestly was so much fun creating this.

I really hope her son was as excited as she was when she picked it up.

Thank you for allowing me create this for your sons birthday. I hope this will create a memorable birthday.
