Can't believe it, ALL Banksia Park owned animals are shorn! And it's only mid November.

I dont get to take much of the credit either ;)

Thank you to all who assisted, would not have been as smooth with out yous. Special thanks to Collin and Samantha Ripley for making a big dent, getting 294 done over 3 days.

Now excited to start my local mobile shearing rounds next week (I'll be in touch tomorrow)

Last minute shearing plan to book Collin and Sam in to knock of my last batch of 100 alpacas on Wednesday, 3 days time! Would love a hand from anyone keen. The animals we are shearing are our 62 weanlings and show team, so may be of interest to some...

Babies born in April and May are now all weaned and progressing so well with their halter training.

Alpacas are herd animals so do best in minimum of 2, ideally 3 or more ;)

Banksia Park Alpaca Stud was established in 1992 by Dr George & Jenny Jackson on there home farm in Serpentine. 2007 Their daughter Sophie Stacey took over management of the 1200 alpacas and pursued her passion for fiber creating Alpaca Express. An alpaca fiber collection centre and alpaca product retailer.
Banksia Park will be competing in the alpaca show ring at Albany Show, along with a large variety of luxury alpaca products available for sale at the Alpaca Express stall.
