How majestic is our lovely Kosciusko Brumby.
We were awfully lucky to spot an opportunity to adopt a 4-6 month old who had been trapped on private land boarding the national park in Khancoban NSW in a small mob.
We named her Phoenix, as she was trapped shortly after the fires settled in that area 2019/20, she had very minor burns and you cant tell where today. And she also came in workout her mother.
So because she was starting a new lease on life, and possibly living for her mother also.
We thought the name was fitting.

Trigger is something truly special — I could watch him all day. He has such presence about him. 🖤

He certainly has some big shoes to fill, with both of his parents being highly decorated show winners, backed by generations of proven champions throughout his pedigree.

I’m already counting down the days until he makes the journey from Adelaide to join us. The hardest part? Having to wait until my birthday in September! 🫢

Safe to say, patience is not my strong suit when I’m this excited. 🤭

Tara Park Shanae was pulled from our paddock today for a groom, worm and trim.
Sweet JJ leaves us on Saturday to head to her new home. We will miss her dearly.
She has a lovely new home excited to meet her.
And we thank JJ for being the reason we can bring Jackpots c**t home. If we could keep her and bring him home. She wouldn't be leaving ❤️

Last year, I lost a someone irreplaceable, who left a hole in my heart far bigger than his tiny hoofprints could ever suggest.

MEG Jackpot. ❤️

I only had my boy for just over 100 days, but sometimes a lifetime of love can somehow fit into such a short amount of time. I fought with everything I had to save him. I put myself into debt, exhausted every option and would have done it all over again if it meant bringing him home.

But we still lost him.

Losing Jackpot absolutely broke me. For a long time, even the things I loved about Shetlands and showing were tangled up with the grief of losing him. Only recently have I started finding my way back.

And then, at the beginning of this week, something happened that I genuinely never thought would happen.

We were offered Jackpot's only c**t. His son. 🥹❤️

A little foal I had made myself accept long ago would never be ours.

In just four weeks, he is coming home.

There really aren't words for what that means to me. Nothing could ever replace Jackpot, and I wouldn't want anything to. But knowing that a little piece of my beautiful boy is coming home to us feels incredibly special. His blood, his legacy, his only son.

After so much sadness, this feels like Jackpot has somehow given us one more beautiful chapter. ❤️

To his previous owners — thank you doesn't even begin to cover it. Thank you for giving us an opportunity that means more to our family than I could ever properly put into words. Thank you for trusting us with this precious little boy and for allowing Jackpot's legacy to come home to the family who loved his dad so desperately.

Four weeks suddenly feels like an eternity.

Jackpot, your boy is coming home.
And I promise you, he will always know just how special his dad was. ❤️
