OCTOBER IS OSTOMY AWARENESS MONTH
💜 5 Years & 6 Months With My Stoma 💜

5 years and 6 months ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life — getting my stoma.

Living with ulcerative colitis was incredibly painful, both physically and emotionally. There were so many days where pain, uncertainty and just trying to get through the day became my normal.

Looking back now, I can honestly say I am so grateful I made the decision to have my stoma. 🥹💜

It gave me something I had been longing for for so long — a life without constant pain. It hasn't always been an easy journey, and there have definitely been challenges along the way, but I would make the same decision again in a heartbeat.

My stoma isn't something I need to hide. It's a part of my story, a reminder of how far I've come, and honestly, one of the reasons I get to live my life without the pain I once knew.

5 years and 6 months later, I’m still grateful for the second chance at life it gave me. ✨💜
