Gold City done and dusted for another year. XMS had a good day out.

Our draft topped at $19,000 for Lot 26 XMS Slate 355/4 (AI) (PS) selling to Kenneth Coleman of Koolyn Brahmans.

Lot 27 XMS Playmaker 335/4 (IVF)(PS) was knocked down for $10,000 and Lot 28 XMS Sandstone 357/4 (AI)(PS) sold for $15,000. Both bulls were purchased by Paul & Debbie Herrod of Ponderosa Brahmans, Katherine NT.

Our draft averaged $14,666 (highest sale average)

We are extremely grateful for the support shown towards our genetics. We are especially proud our bulls are heading to herds of such calibre. Thank you to all who took the time to inspect our bulls, had a yarn and considered them worthy of a bid or two.

XMS/Triple E progeny sold at auction have realised an average of $19,916 to date, including last year's top-priced female here at Big Country ($37,500).

These embryos represent an exciting opportunity for studmasters. Fairy Spings Duracell 3606 is an industry legend who blends type and data like no other in the breed. Somerton Oliver is an exciting, powerful new sire purchased at last year's Big Country sale for $38,000 who will add some punch, bone and breed character into his offspring.

This fella is up there with the best we’ve bred. You’ll go a long way to find a PP sire prospect with the bone, sheath, shape, presence and punch that Stocktake has. A bull that we feel wouldn’t be out of place amongst a mob of stud cows.

He’s an AI calf out of our super cow, XMS Lady Di 123/8 (PS). A cow that breeds on irrespective of the sire used. I have attached images of a number of half siblings. Offspring from this dam are averaging $21,500 at auction to date.
