Mt Alma Organics

Mt Alma Organics is a 430 hectare, third generation, certified organic farm located in the Lower Burdekin region of North Queensland.

Our range of delicious fruit and vegetables is the result of a husband, Gary, and wife Angela’s shared passion for fresh, organic produce. With a focus on giving back, Mt Alma Organics has fast become a leader in sustainability, forging the way for a healthier and more productive region.

Originally purchased by the Spotswood family in 1927, Mt. Alma began as 364 hectares of scrub and wetlands cleared for conventional livestock farming before the introduction of sugar cane in 1967. In 1993, the farm expanded into the neighbouring property, adding another 66 hectares which included a mango orchard.

Taking over the reigns in 2011, Gary and his wife, Angela, have transformed the property into a thriving and diverse hub offering a wide variety of fresh, sustainably-farmed Certified Organic produce.
