🌿 Behind the Scenes at Filo-Asian Basket Ripley 🌿

Today was all about testing, learning, and bringing ideas to life.

We’ve been trialling product samples, exploring different mugs, and testing engraved chopping boards to find the perfect pieces for our upcoming gift hampers.

The engraved acacia paddle board and rubberwood board samples have arrived, and we’re so excited with how they’re turning out! ✨

Every product is being carefully selected to reflect what Filo-Asian Basket Ripley stands for:

We’re taking our time to make sure every hamper feels thoughtful, practical, and beautiful to receive.

🌿 Albay Laing, just like Dad used to make.

One thing I miss from home is waking up to the smell of Filipino food cooked with love.

This laing was inspired by how my dad cooked it back in Albay. Nothing fancy—just dried gabi leaves, coconut milk, onions, chillies, and leftover roast pork from the night before.

In our family, nothing went to waste. Leftover rice became garlic fried rice the next morning. Leftover pork became laing. And somehow, everything tasted even better the next day.

Food isn’t just food. It’s memories, family, and home.
