Ipswich Good Food Group IGFG has ceased operations however you can find out about our community food hub here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1310675886111183

Membership is $25/half year. The easiest way to join is to come along to 21 Park St Ipswich during our open times. We are 100% volunteer-run and members are asked to contribute 1 hour in 8 weeks in a range of tasks to suit availability & physical capacities. We are a not-for-profit, volunteer-run, incorporated collective which offers local/ethical/chemical-free food and grocery items. We also pro

mote and assist members to transition to a post-peak oil, low-carbon lifestyle, resilient community development and local mercantile empowerment.

Following the closure of the Park Street outlet we have continued as a group to purchase dry goods from organic and natural products. We place an order every 3 months and the next order will be opening very soon.

The savings are significant when we buy as a collective!

You can email our organiser Nikolee who can add you to the group: [email protected]

A link to the Honest to Goodness page is in the comments below. A note on the prices there, as mentioned above they are cheaper when we buy as a group.

Bulk buyers clubs - groups of family, friends or neighbours pooling their buying power to access wholesale prices - are a small but mighty movement with the potential to take on or heal many of the big challenges we face as a community: cost of living, food security, social isolation, environment, the list goes on.

In a few weeks time we're holding a community info session, drawing on our collective knowledge to give you everything you need to start your own bulk buyers club.

You'll hear from Rob and Costa Georgiadis Official on food communities, get tips from a panel of our friends who are part of existing groups, like Chewsday Food Collective and Food Buyers Club Loganholme, get your hands on our new Bulk Buyer Guide handbook, and have the chance to chat to potential suppliers like The Mini Farm Project and Salisbury Mill.

We'll have snacks out and the bar open - come and meet your people.
