Madura Plains Shearing for 2025/26 was completed last week!
As the last bale of Madura Plains wool was pressed under CC Cooper & Co ownership and we would like to take a moment to reflect on another successful shearing season and another exceptional performance from the Canowie Poll Merino Sheep.
A huge thank you must go to the Darby Shearing team for another outstanding job! As always, we enjoy working with the crew and highly recommend their services.
As the sheep head back to their paddocks and the dust begins to settle, we now commence the handover process to CPC - Consolidated Pastoral Company. We look forward to where CPC can take Madura Plains in the future and wish them all the best with continuing to develop what has been an exciting project for us over the last 10 years. A massive Thank you to Tom Russo from Elders Real Estate for your professionalism in facilitating the sale.
To our incredible CC Cooper & Co team, we thank you for your hard work, dedication and teamwork throughout another successful Madura Plains shearing. Your commitment and professionalism are greatly appreciated and have helped make this season another success.
As this chapter comes to a close, we would also like to thank Nutrien Ag Solutions - Jamestown SA for their support over the Journey at Madura Plains, as well as Nutrien Ag Solutions Wool Specialist Adrian Dewell as he works towards marketing this premium Canowie Poll Merino clip.
