IMPORTANT (LONG) MESSAGE

Crunchy's Black Box Snacks received dozens of questions over the last few days about delivery and where delivery will become available. We worked hard to get a straight answer to those difficult questions, knowingly we will disappoint people for now.

🚚 WHY DOES FROZEN DELIVERY WORK DIFFERENTLY?

We have determined for now that the following metros are suitable for home delivery:

1. Sydney
2. Melbourne
3. Brisbane
4. Perth
5. Adelaide

However, there is a BIG BUT.

Each postcode needs separate calculation (metro | regional | far-regional).

We would love to make Crunchy’s croquets, frikandellen and bitterballen available across Australia - but frozen food cannot simply be placed in the post.

Every regional delivery involves refrigerated transport, depot handling, frozen storage where required, picking individual orders, refrigerated and time sensitive delivery to your home address. Frozen food cannot simply stay at your doorsteps for hours, not even minutes. This makes frozen transport and home delivery considerably more expensive than ordinary parcel delivery.

To make regional deliveries possible and keep costs as reasonable as we can, we need a combined minimum of 160 boxes in each region before we can confirm a delivery run.

That means 160 boxes across the entire region - not 160 boxes per customer and not 160 boxes of one product. All our snacks can be mixed and matched. With a shelf-life guaranteed up to 6 months after production. The 160 boxes are as fresh as possible when distribution starts, as we create small batches.

📦 WE RECOMMEND ORDERING AT LEAST THREE BOXES

The local frozen-delivery charge can be the same whether we deliver one box or up to five boxes to the same address.

For that reason, we recommend ordering a minimum of three boxes. Ordering three to five boxes spreads the delivery cost across more products and provides much better value than having only one box delivered.

You can mix and match your favourites - or combine an order with family, friends or neighbours and have everything delivered to one address.

📅 HOW REGIONAL DELIVERY WILL WORK

We propose starting with one scheduled delivery run per region each month. When demand grows sufficiently, we can increase this to once every two weeks.

Expressions of Interest from customers in the same region will be combined. Once the region reaches 160 boxes, we will confirm the delivery date and contact everyone about completing their order, the order details and timetables.

During the current EOI stage, there is no obligation to purchase and no payment is taken.

📍 PICK-UP REMAINS AVAILABLE AFTER THE PRODUCT LAUNCH

Collection from our Veresdale Scrub location (QLD 4285) or our newest food truck is always possible and does not depend on reaching a regional minimum.

🏪 WE ARE LOOKING FOR LOCAL RETAILERS

Delivering a complete frozen pallet to one retailer or regional collection point is substantially less expensive than making dozens of separate home deliveries.

We are therefore looking for retailers, specialty food stores and suitable frozen-food partners in each region. This could make Crunchy’s available locally while significantly reducing delivery costs for customers.

**CHEAP - or genuinely good value?**

Dutch people love a bargain. Honestly, who doesn’t?

But when comparing snacks, looking only at the price per box - or counting how many are inside - does not tell the whole story. Let's focus on the frikandel.

Crunchy’s BBS frikandellen are made from quality cuts of pork and beef. We do not use mechanically separated chicken meat, breadcrumb fillers or hydrolysed protein to create a higher yield and more profits through cost management.

**Compare the nutritional values per 100 grams:**

🟧 **Crunchy’s BBS**
✅ 24.9 g protein
✅ 3.8 g fat
✅ 0 g carbohydrates

⬛ **Competing product**
• 11.8 g protein
• 18.8 g fat
• 8.4 g carbohydrates

That means Crunchy’s BBS frikandellen contain:

✅ At least **two times the protein**
✅ Approximately **80% less fat**
✅ **Zero carbohydrates** (suitable for gluten friendly diets)

They are also considerably larger. A box of 20 Crunchy’s frikandellen contains close to **2.1 kg of product** (approx 100 grams each, fill weight approx 105 grams), compared with approximately **1.5 kg** for the competing product (approx 75 grams each).

Our packaging is different too. We do not use plastic trays. Instead, our frikandellen are packed in a specially designed corrugated, recyclable cardboard box with wax-paper inserts. These help keep the products protected, fresh and free from excessive icing during frozen storage. The box holds until the last frikandel.

Yes, Crunchy’s BBS may have a higher price at the checkout. But it is not the same product - and therefore not a like-for-like comparison.

We do not aim to make the cheapest frikandel. We aim to make a bigger, meatier and better-quality frikandel that offers genuine value.

**Twenty frikandellen are not always the same twenty. Compare what is actually inside the box.**
