We’re busy bees here at the Farm Shop getting ready for a private function tomorrow afternoon Saturday 22 August!

Saturday 22nd - we’ll still be be open 8:30 - 4 but just serving coffee and cake and light menu options. (kitchen will be closed as they prep for the function)

Fifth Acre / Charlwood Farm Rachel Watkins and Her Herd Boutique open as usual.

Sunday 23 August - we’re back to regular programming! ☺️

We’re looking forward to welcoming guests for the next Destination Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trail on Sunday 26 July. ☺️

Next weekend, farmers and growers across the Scenic Rim are throwing their doors open 🐮🍓

For just one special day, you can venture beyond the gate to sample produce, sip wines, cuddle cattle and meet the region's passionate producers 🧑‍🌾🚜

We will never not be grateful to Three Girls Skipping and our beautiful guests for making our annual Scenic Rim Eat Local Month Long Lunch so special.

On Sunday we welcomed guests for another relaxed winter's day enjoying crisp country air, great company, and incredible food created with heart and an abundance of fresh local produce.

We’re especially seeking Thursday & Friday availability, with school hours absolutely workable. Weekend availability is a bonus.
Barista experience is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn new skills is what matters most.

🥕 KITCHEN
Approx. 15 hours per week, including rotating weekends, with room to grow.
You don’t need years of experience. If you love quality food, cooking, and enjoy a fast-paced environment, you’ll fit right in.

Starting tomorrow, the gorgeous Paige from will be offering weekly outdoor yin-inspired yoga – gentle and welcome to all – every Saturday here at Scenic Rim Farm Shop, Kalbar | 7:30–8:30 am.

Bring a mat and anything else that makes you feel comfortable.

$20 per class | DM to save your space

(We have a special undercover area to hold the classes in the event of wet weather)

🌱NEW GROWTH 🌱

We’re getting ready to re-open this Thursday 12 Feb - and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back!

It seems fitting so share these pics of the new growth on the baby jacaranda we planted late last year - an offspring of the grand old lady that sadly fell on Jan 25.

This little one’s new growth can’t help but make you feel optimistic!

We’ve had a fantastic break, despite the necessary Jacaranda cleanup - which in truth is still a work in progress. We have also been working on plans to memorialise that special tree. Stay tuned for more updates on that.

In the meantime we’ll be baking up a storm and setting up the tables in the shade of the persimmon and the other beautiful Jaccy as well as some new shady umbrellas. Of course if the forecast rain tries to dampen our spirits - we’ll just move into the rustic barn.

We’re on our annual February break (with some unexpected tree clean up 🥲) but we’ll be back from Thursday 12th and will have some lovely news to share with you then.

We’re deeply saddened to report the loss of one of our majestic Jacarandas in last night’s storm.

The grand-125-year-old-girl, considerate to the end, held on til there was no-one around and for the beginning of our annual two week closure so we have time to tidy up before reopening on Feb 12. She also - amazingly - avoided any major infrastructure.

We will be forever grateful for the shade and adventures the tree has afforded all who enjoyed time under her branches.

Most relieved to report that the second Jacaranda is in fine health and providing beautiful shade.

Although we’re not quite sure what day it is today…we do know that we are closed for a rest but we will be back on Thursday 8th Jan 2026!
