Our beautiful Bellos Cottage is named after Yarni's Greek grandfather, Triundafilo. His nick name was "Bellos" and he lived on the Island of Kythera, a small island north of Crete. My name is Yarni and my wife, Jock, and I have been regular visitors to the magical Island of Kythera since 2007. It’s the origin of my heritage and we both soon learned that the small things in life are the most impor
tant. Not only is it like stepping back in time 150 years where life is simple, rich in happiness, family and culture, it’s also a way of life we wanted to live by letting go of the must haves and extravagant lifestyles that have a way of trapping you into a world where everything is at a fast pace. For us, the choice was easy to create a beautiful modest cottage in Australia where we grow our own seasonal fresh produce and the best thing, it’s chemical free! Our chickens roam free and there is plenty of fresh produce to preserve to see us through the winter. The range of produce allows us to venture into our market stall as a wonderful hobby, sharing our fresh vegetables, homemade pastries and salsas.
