As a part of the Yarrock Station, the Hobbs family farm was selected Charles William Hobbs in the early 1900s when lease hold property was made available for freehold. Growing energy to run the farm (oaten hay to feed horses) was a common practice made redundant by the discovery of crude oil, mechanisation & industrialisation. 110 years later using the same fundamental concept of growing energy as Great Grandpa Hobbs, I am growing oilseed crops to feed the "iron horses".

🌾 Around 60% of harvest is now done, and it’s looking promising so far.
