Meet Kirsty from Kapunda Honey Co.

As a second-generation beekeeper, Kirsty has spent years learning the art of beekeeping from her dad, helping to continue a family tradition built on care, respect for the bees, and sustainable practices.

In this reel, Kirsty shares how the unique flavours, colours and characteristics of honey are shaped by the diverse range of trees and flowering plants found across South Australia. From light and delicate to rich and robust, every variety tells a story of the landscape it comes from.

Stop by and chat with Kirsty at the market this Saturday — and discover your favourite honey variety.

Demonstration Cook this Saturday!

Join us at the market as Jackson Gloyne, Head Chef at FINO Seppeltsfield, demonstrates how to transform a whole Abelsway Farm chicken into a delicious Chicken Au Poivre with roasted Barossa Gourmet Mushrooms.

Showcasing the principles of Store It Right, Use It All, Jackson will share practical tips on making the most of every ingredient, reducing food waste, and creating a restaurant-quality meal at home.

It's a great opportunity to pick up new skills, gather cooking inspiration, and see some of our fantastic local produce in action.

Market membership is about more than a discount — it’s about being part of the community that keeps the Barossa Farmers Market thriving.

When you become a member, you’re showing up week after week to support our farmers, bakers and makers. That regular connection helps them plan, grow and produce the very best seasonal food for our region.

It’s the familiar faces across the stalls, the morning conversations, and the joy of knowing exactly where your food comes from. Our stallholders truly value connecting with the people they feed — and there’s always a story (and a laugh) shared along the way.

Of course, the perks are pretty delicious too:

• Save 10% every Saturday at participating stalls
• 10% off your morning brew at the Espresso Bar
• Borrow specialty tools from our Kitchen Library
• 20% off tickets to special market events
• 2 Kids Club Cards for little market regulars

Membership is $60 for your first year, then just $55 to renew annually.

Sign up at the Information Booth on market day, or join online anytime and start enjoying the good food, good savings and great community spirit that make the market so special. 💚
