Within the blink of an eye all of our white grapes are picked and we’re slowly easing into picking our reds. Very happy with my team this year: a group of mixed nationalities (and more Aussies than we’ve ever had!) that keeps smiling and have built some great friendships amongst each other. 💞

Even though we’ve been picking for 2 weeks already, today we picked the first grapes for Happs. Pinot (a personal favourite of mine) and Chardonnay. The fruit looked amazing and came off like a dream. ❤️

The first pick of this year is a fact! We picked Chardonnay for our long term client Mr Barval, who likes his Chardonnay fresh and crisp. Starting of with a small team, everyone did really well. Vintage 2024 here we go!

Yes, we’re there again: netting time. How did the year fly by so quick? We’ve got a team of mainly newbies, but they’re doing an awesome job. 🤩 All under the supervision of our beautiful new family member Lucy. ❤️

Such a beautiful time of the year. Everything is green and growing. 💚 We’ve been busy layering, shoot thinning, disbudding, mowing and spraying. With more than 30 different varieties of grapes, it’s exciting to see the different stages they go through. On the last 3 photos: pre-flowering, flowering/cap fall and peppercorn sized berries (baby grapes!).

Beautiful Jody, to know you was to love you. You effortlessly found a place in the hearts of the people that met you. Everyone’s friend, always there with us in the vineyard, looking after our workers and us. Years of many, good memories. It hurts. But rather to have loved and lost, than to not have loved at all. Rest in peace now Jody girl. ❤️

Happy first day of Spring! 🌼 The morning on the Three Hills vineyard started of quite beautiful and sunny, but after tea break the predicted rain came after all. ☔️ We’re looking forward to finish pruning the vineyard in the next week or two and hopefully see that awesome sun come out more and more. ☀️

We picked our last grapes on Tuesday. Finished it off with a curry night yesterday. Such relieve and gratitude. Couldn’t have pulled it off without our amazing, loyal pickers. Even when there wasn’t many of you left at the end due to Covid. Thank you! 🙏
