COOK/CHEF/ ALL ROUNDER

Owner is looking for motivated people to work in remote location in the Northern Territory and become part of the Paraway Motel family.
Work is repetitive, nothing difficult or rocket science, but it is work. It’s the same every day, just changing priorities and there is always something to do.
I am hard but fair, and expect my staff to be go getters, use initiative, work independently as well as part of a team with a focus on attention to detail and customer service focused.
Mornings is probably the biggest slog as that is housekeeping time, cleaning room after room after room. Tidying up yard, rubbish bins etc. Afternoons is a little more chilled and relaxed as we get to interact with customers while working.
I need extra hands to keep the businesses operating to the high standards I have set. Second business is a catering delivery food service, operates 6 nights a week Monday - Saturday servicing surrounding indigenous communities.
Work consists of but not limited to
Kitchen hand
Cooking
Meal preparation
Washing dishes
Bar work
Waitress/waiter work - meal delivery
Restocking fridges
Alcohol pick up
Sweeping mopping floors
Scrubbing bathrooms
Making beds
Yard work
Cleaning swimming pool
Cutting lawns
Gardening/weeding
Wiper snipping
Emptying rubbish bins around the property
Recycling bottle runs
Window washing
Housekeeping
Laundry (all room linen is washed on-site)
Folding linen
Food shopping
Just to name a few…
I am looking for staff that are willing and prepared to do any and every job, that add value to my businesses.
I like to treat my staff as “family”, we work hard but also have some downtime or earlier nights. And that is always nice for a catch up and a couple of drinks on me.
So I am looking for the right personalities to fit into this small ‘family” work environment.
I am not concerned if you don’t have experience, with the right attitude that is all teachable.
I am customer service focused and any new staff will need to have a happy disposition and welcome my returning customers as if it was their first visit, each and every time.
Katherine is a remote location and not many things to do. But it is a beautiful part of the country to get out and see our national parks.
